CAN I HAVE THIS PROCEDURE DONE WHILST PREGNANT?

Sorry, we do not tattoo anyone whilst they are pregnant. If you are breastfeeding we recommend expressing for 48 hours or wait until you have finished feeding. This is due to anesthetics used.

DOES COSMETIC TATTOOING HURT?

Everyone's pain levels are different, most clients feel little to nothing. Some clients feel one side sorer than the other. A topical cream is applied to the brows 15-30 minutes before the procedure as well as during to numb the area. Some clients feel more pain during menstruation. If you are sensitive to pain or worried you can speak to your doctor/pharmacist beforehand and ask for pain relief.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MY TREATMENT?

It is best if you wash your hair the night before or day of your appointment, we recommend not washing your hair for at least 3 days after your procedure. It is important that you don't get your brows wet for at least 7 days after your tattoo, this includes sweat and steam. You cannot swim in the ocean or pool for 14 days as the salt and chlorine pulls out the pigment. Exposing your brows to the sun while they are healing will cause the tattoo to fade dramatically. Try to avoid long periods in the sun during the healing process.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHILST THEY ARE HEALING/HEALED?

Immediately following the procedure, the colour will appear dark and sharply defined, your brows will soften and become lighter in 7-10 days by approximately 40%. Everyone heals completely different. Some people hold pigment better than others. Skin type, medications etc all play a role in how your skin holds the pigment. Most clients will experience flake off or will experience colour loss in this time, this is completely normal and means that they will need to come back for a perfection visit (touch up) 4-6 weeks after their initial appointment. We do the exact same procedure on every client the results are different on everybody, there are NO GUARANTEES on how much pigment your skin will hold.

DO YOU CORRECT/ WORK OVER OTHER ARTISTS TATTOOING?

If you have previously had brow tattoos and would like to have them re-done please book a consultation with us BEFORE booking an appointment or send us clear photos of your skin in daylight (front on and side) to see if we are able to assist you. Please keep in mind that your old tattoos cannot be completely disguised nor, will they be 100% perfect. Most clients that are unhappy with their eyebrows will need to consider tattoo removal prior to any further tattooing. Failing to let us know you have previous tattooing from else where will result in a termination fee.

ARE YOU TAKING ANY MEDICATION?

If you take daily medication, you will most likely need to come back for a perfection visit. Many medications change the skin which can affect how your brows heal and hold pigment.

ARE YOU TAKING BLOOD THINNERS?

If you are taking blood thinners such as fish oil and vitamin E for a boost, then please discontinue taking them for at least 7 days prior to your procedure. If you have been advised to take blood thinners for medical reasons, then do not discontinue without consulting with your doctor first. Blood thinners cause poor pigment retention which means you will need to come back for a perfection visit.
